September holidays in Procida, how about it?
If you're looking to experience the Gulf of Naples at its best, a September holiday is the way to go. On Procida, the streets and beaches are less crowded, so it's much easier to find a beach umbrella facing the sea or a free table in the best restaurants. It's a great time to visit as everything is more relaxed. The kids on the island are packing their backpacks for school, but you can still enjoy the sun and sea. Prices are also starting to fall, so you can treat yourself to a few extra days with more peace of mind!
September events on the island of Procida
There's plenty going on in September, with cultural events and high-profile themed events that will make your holiday in Procida even more special.
Some examples are:
- Maretica, a cultural event on the theme of the sea, which is highly anticipated on the island
- The Procida isola di Arturo - Elsa Morante Prize, which is awarded to Italian literary works
- The International Philosophy Festival and the Procida Film Festival
- Photography exhibitions, art and music festivals, sporting events...

What to do in Procida in September
If the heat in August makes you want to stay in the shade, September is a great time to explore. The temperature is finally pleasant, so you can get out and move around more. You might want to spend your time exploring the area or trying out some sports. After all, a holiday is not just about relaxing, it's also about trying new things!
Heading to Procida in September for a holiday or long weekend? I've put together a few suggestions of things you could do:
- At Camp Ciraccio, you can rent SUPs, the trend of the summer!
- Have you ever tried kayaking? Our friends at ASD Kayak Procida put on some amazing tours that are really well run. You can read about our experience here.
- Our camps have green, shady areas where you can practise yoga or stretching. Go with the flow!
- Why not set off on an excursion to Naples, Pompeii or Ischia? It's great to return to our camps in the evening, and our staff always welcomes you as if you were part of the family!
September and October holiday offers for Procida
With the September and October offers, it'll be easier to justify a few extra days off.
At Camp La Caravella and Camp Ciraccio, you'll find the same great quality and services as always: a delicious breakfast, e-bike and SUP hire, a massage corner, a heated swimming pool with hydromassage, and a shuttle service with vintage cars. The staff are always happy to help, and can recommend the most magical places to visit and restaurants or excursions to book. September is a great time to visit Procida!
